The Kramer VS-8FW is an 8 port Firewire repeater/hub for use in any application where additional Firewire (IEEE 1394) ports are needed. Several machines may be cascaded to create up to a 63 port Firewire system. Both machines support 100 200 and 400 Mbps transfer rate enabling high rate digital video transfer and allow hot plugging.The machines effectively extend the standard 4.5m operation range of Firewire even doubling the range when using appropriate cabling. Both machines are housed in small enclosures the VS-8FW is Kramer Tools size. It comes with one cable and an appropriate power supply.
