LG GW370 Shannon

A new LG phone has been spotted in the wild – LG GW370 aka Shannon, which has been caught in the world’s fastest growing economy – China.

We’re talking about a still not officially announced device, hence the details are scarce. We do know it will come with a full side-sliding QWERTY keyboard (as you can see from the image above), QVGA screen (touch?) and a trackball. The specs will most certainly also include a Bluetooth support, some media playback and social networking software, IM and email clients, and a microSD memory card slot.

In a nutshell, it’s a low-end phone for heavy texters which looks like some other LG models – GW620 (aka LinkMe, aka InTouch MAX) and GT350 (successor to the KS360 model). But since it has the “GW” prefix, this may be an Android-powered device (like the GW620). I’m speculating at this moment, and hoping we’ll have more details in the near future. Stay tuned…
